LafargeHolcim – Paris
France
On the request of LafargeHolcim customer, Euromecc has realized a terminal for the storage of cement in a position to feeding and being fed from barges, ships, tankers and railway wagons. The terminal has a storage capacity of 8.000 m3 and consists of two silos with a diameter of 12,5 m and a silo with a diameter of 15 m. In addition, near the dock there is a buffer that increases the total storage capacity of 460 m3, for the purpose of serving the loading of barges. All steel works have been made with high quality steel, in compliance with UNI EN 1090-2 and UNI EN ISO 3834-2.

A key role in the project was played by the integration of the terminal with the landscape of Gennevilliers. After a careful analysis of the surrounding industrial area, five colours were selected: four different shades of gray for the silos, the main structures and coatings, and the red that recalls some of the sheds in the neighbourhood. To follow the entire project, a Euromecc team of about 20 experienced fitters, engineers and other Italian professionals moved to Paris, alternating with technicians based in Italy, for a total of almost 32.500 hours of work.
