FLUIDISATION AND DISCHARGING SYSTEMS
In order to avoid inconveniences due to the stagnation of powdery materials inside the silo and to limit the occurrence of the funnel effect, it is recommended to employ devices that facilitate the outflow of the material and, if necessary, to “break” the so-called bridging that may form in a silo. Based on the type of cone (single inclination of 52 or 60 degrees, or double inclination of 60 + 15 degrees), the material to be handled (cement, fly ash, silica, clinker and so on) and its size, we design the most suitable extraction system.
AIR SLIDES
Air slides are a low-maintenance system particularly suitable for the transport of powdery materials. Thanks to the action of blowers, the material is pushed through the air slides and, after being transported, it is conveyed to the discharging spouts. These are typically closed-chamber air slides, with a rectangular section, and are installed with a slope of about 6 degrees. They are made of a metal laminar structure that contains a bed of polyester fibre or other material which divides the air chamber fed by blowers of different powers from the area that hosts the fluidised material. There are different configurations regarding the passage section, the type of fibre, the characteristics of the insufflated air and the slope that directly influence the performance in terms of flow rate and wear.

LOADING PIPES
In order to handle bulk material over long distances, especially when pressures reach considerable values, it is necessary to use complex piping systems. They are specially designed depending on the flow rates they have to support and on the pressure losses associated with the geometry of each site. Their reliability is ensured by a series of accessories that guarantee their resistance to wear (such as wide-radius coated bends made of basalt, concrete or other material) and ensure their proper functioning.
DEDUSTING AND FILTERING
Whether pneumatic or mechanical conveying systems are used, each material transfer point should be equipped with a properly sized filter. There are different types of filters, including passive, active and cyclonic ones, depending on the points to be dedusted and on the air flows involved.

BUCKET ELEVATORS
Euromecc bucket elevators are designed for the vertical convey of fine materials such as cement, lime, calcium and carbonate. The traction element is constituted by a rubber carpet and the distance between the buckets is optimized in order to obtain the requested output while keeping the buckets speed and filling inside values that ensure reliability.
TELESCOPIC DISCHARGERS
Telescopic dischargers are used to load dust material on tankers in absence of dust. They are suitable for a continuous service, reaching a maximum output equal to 250 m3/h. The inferior extremity of the discharger is coated with techno-polymer which assures the dust capacity of the connection between the discharger and the tanker. Depending on the application, it is possible to use loading spouts with an extended stroke (up to 3.000 mm) or devices with a double degree of freedom that allow, by means of a special track, to translate in order to minimise the manoeuvres of the vehicles being loaded, whether they are road tankers or rail wagons.

ROTARY VALVES
Rotary valves are developed for the controlled unloading of dusts or granular material from silos, hoppers or filters towards mechanic (screws) or low/medium pneumatic pressure transport lines.
SCREW CONVEYORS
Euromecc offers a wide range of screws with high performance and reliability, suitable for conveying every kind of material: cement, sand, lime, mortar, limestone, chalk, filler, fly ash and so on.
- TUBULAR SCREW CONVEYORS: The modular tubular screw conveyor system is highly versatile offering numerous solutions for conveying powdery or granular materials. Screw conveyors and feeders are made up from a tubular trough that is equipped with at least one inlet and outlet spout, a welded flange at each tube end, helicoid screw flighting welded on a centre pipe with a coupling bush at each end, two end bearing assemblies complete with self-adjusting shaft sealing unit, a number of intermediate hanger bearings depending on the overall length of the screw conveyor.
- TROUGH SCREW CONVEYORS: The modular trough screw conveyor system is highly versatile offering numerous solutions for conveying powdery or granular materials. Trough screw conveyors are made up from a U or V-shape trough that is equipped with at least one outlet spout, an end plate at each trough end, helicoid screw flighting welded on a centre pipe with a coupling bush at each end, two end bearing assemblies complete with shaft sealing unit, a certain number of intermediate hanger bearings depending on the overall length of the screw conveyor, and bolted trough cover sections.
- VERTICAL SCREW LIFT SYSTEM: The vertical screw lift system consists of a horizontal screw feeder and a vertical screw conveyor. The horizontal screw feeder, which may feed material from a silo or hopper or simply convey it being fed by an upstream feeding device, consists of a U-shape or tubular trough in carbon steel with appropriate surface finishing. In any case the outlet zone consists of a short tubular section flanged at a right angle on the bottom section of the vertical screw conveyor. A flange is welded at each end of the horizontal screw feeder.
